SBU Students Improve the Frisco Highline Trail

Students from Southwest Baptist University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program are continuously challenged to give back to their community as part of their studies. On January 16, a cheerful group of students chose to volunteer their community service to the Frisco Highline Trail! They walked the whole day, from Wishart all the way to Bolivar, clearing storm debris along the way and filling eight leaf bags with trash they picked up!

Student coordinator of the workday, Blakley Cook, told us the group had a great time getting outdoors together on a brisk winter day to help the cause and experience the power of physical activity, a main tool of their careers.

“We were very glad to be able to partner with Ozark Greenways to clean up and help restore beauty to the Frisco Highline Trail," Blakley said.
