South Creek Restoration Project Begins

Springfield Public Works began their “South Creek Restoration Project” on June 15, between Campbell and Kansas Expressway along Sunset. The first phases of removing the concrete channel might not look pretty now, but just wait. The project’s goals are to restore South Creek to a native riparian corridor that will add beauty and wildlife habitat, absorb storm water, filter pollution and improve water quality. The project will be completed next spring.
