The Springfield Conservation Nature Center TRAILS will be CLOSED Saturday, December 14, through Monday, December 16, for a managed archery deer hunt. The nature center building will be open Saturday from 8am-5pm. For more information, call 417-888-4237.
Healthy deer populations require management. Too many deer destroy habitat, increase deer/human conflict, and cause deer to be unhealthy. The population goal is one that affords viewing opportunities while minimizing habitat damage for the benefit of all wildlife.
