Trail Update - Fulbright Spring Greenway Extends!
Category News, Projects | Posted on April 23, 2018
Spring kicked off with a bang for us and we’re in full go mode to extend and connect various sections of Springfield’s favorite greenways! We held a ribbon-cutting on April 4, in partnership with the Park Board, Health Department, Healthy Living Alliance, and American Heart Association for the new 1/2-mile trail section of Fulbright Spring Greenway east from David C. Murray Trailhead. We all enjoyed walking together to see the beautiful view from the new bridge spanning South Dry Sac River.
Phase 4 will soon be under construction, and hopefully be completed by the end of the year! This means there will be 7 continuous miles of gorgeous trail from Ritter Springs Park to Truman Elementary School. The City of Springfield and CU have been very supportive of this project and serve as great partners of Ozark Greenways.
