Fassnight Creek Greenway

Fassnight Creek Greenway is in the heart of Springfield, south and west of downtown and Missouri State University. It currently passes through Fassnight Park, goes under Campbell, Bennett and Jefferson avenues, and connects by road to Phelps Grove Park. The trail travels through Phelps Grove Park and continues to the Springfield Art Museum. It will eventually be extended west to Jordan Creek and Wilson's Creek Greenway trails.  Phelps Grove Park is a stop along The Link, a 7-mile north/south bicycle-pedestrian route connecting Doling Park to Twin Oaks Park.

POINTS OF INTEREST: Fassnight Park's beautiful historic native Ozarks rock vernacular architecture is used on the park's bridges and its gorgeous historic rock pool house; Fassnight Creek winds through the wooded park and hosts a variety of wildlife and native plantings; on your way to Phelps Grove Park you'll pass a mural by Linda Passeri highlighting Missouri native flowers and pollinators; Phelps Grove Park is another beloved historic Springfield park, showcasing a unique native Ozarks rock pavilion; Springfield Skate Park; and you'll spy a mural created in collaboration with Watershed Committee of the Ozarks
