Shuyler Creek Greenway
This trail is a part of the Ozarks Transportation Organization’s Regional Trail Study and is managed and maintained by the City of Republic.
It is currently 3/4 of a mile and has picnic tables and benches. Public parking is available on the west side of Wal-Mart, and you will use the sidewalk connection to the corner of Hines St. & Cherrywood Street.
In April of 2020, the City of Republic received $394,214 in design and right-of-way acquisition funds for a future plan to extend the Shuyler Creek Trail nearly 2 miles to Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield.
Located in east Republic, the Shuyler Creek Greenway will provide a vital link between the City of Republic and the regional trail system. The existing trail is suburban in character and surrounded by residential lots. The planned extension offers a more rural trail experience as it winds through old growth forests and over farmland hills.
