Kit Carson Remembered as Trailblazer

The Ozark Greenways board, staff, and friends are so sad about the recent passing of longtime supporter, Kit Carson. Kit served on our board from 2004-2014, and was an active member of our infamous Technical Planning Committee until his passing. He was a huge advocate for preserving nature - a big picture guy and a details man - who believed deeply in the mission of Ozark Greenways.
There are few people we come across in life with the zest for life like Kit. He was a mix of friendly dedication and generosity. Through his company, Carson-Mitchell, he would never hesitate to donate heavy equipment and resources to a project. Need a crane pronto? Not a problem! We’ll always be grateful for his insight, his can-do spirit, and his commitment to being a trailblazer.
